Dynamite’s Heroes Are In the Mood for Love in DIE!NAMITE Special

Dienamite Our Bloody Valentine

When is there a better time to look for love than in the middle of a zombie apocalypse? You can’t help what the heart wants, and Dynamite’s heroes want smooches in the new DIE!NAMITE: OUR BLOODY VALENTINE special!

This new special one-shot is directly tied to the smash hit DIE!NAMITE series, which debuted in October with 90,000 copies printed. Writer and certified zombie expert Fred Van Lente (Marvel Zombies, The Comic Book Story of Basketball) is joined by the kinetic ink slinging of Lee Ferguson (Sympathy for No Devils), the blood-soaked palette of Kike J. Diaz, and terror-filled typography of Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. Together this team will chronicle love in the time of flesh-eating.

“I was born on Valentine’s Day, so it’s a very special time of year for me, and I want to make it as special as I can for the readers, too,” said Van Lente. “I will do so with not one, but two touching and excessively gory love stories. Warming your hearts while simultaneously turning your stomachs is why I was put on this Earth, when you get right down to it.”

Serial bachelor Peter Cannon has spent his entire life secluded in the Himalayas. This Valentine’s Day, his loyal assistant Tabu is dedicated to finding a special someone for Peter Cannon. Which is hard enough any time, as Peter can be a difficult man. But when there’s a horde of zombies threatening all of Dynamite’s heroes across the galaxy, it may just be impossible.

A special second story features the iconic star-crossed lovers of John Carter and Dejah Thoris. They’re used to contending with man-eating beasts on their home planet of Barsoom, but when that deadly habit spreads around and could turn your own loved ones against you, can their love stand a chance?

Dynamite’s editorial maestro Nate Cosby has called up a trio of talented artists to take on covers for this heart-beating-outside-the-body release. No comic book zombie tale is complete without a cover by Arthur Suydam, and he’s complemented by seasonally appropriate pieces by Joseph Michael Linsner and Will Robson. Cosplayer Rachel Hollon portrays Vampirella in a romantic sunset-lit beach setting.

DIE!NAMITE: OUR BLOODY VALENTINE is slated for release in January 2021. It will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, ComicsPlus, and more!
