Robert De Niro will be starring with Bradley Cooper in Relativity Media’s suspense thriller The Dark Fields, directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist).
The film follows a writer (Cooper) who discovers a new designer drug that gives him new found intelligence and success. De Niro will play a financial mogul who is hot on the trail of Cooper’s character.
Elizabeth Banks (Zack and Miri Make a Porno) is also rumored to be attached to the film, but this is yet to be confirmed. The script was written by Leslie Dixon, and was adapted from a novel by Alan Glynn. Universal is distributing the film.
Shooting begins this May in Philadelphia.
