The Kenneth Branagh directed princess tale Cinderella, took the top spot at the box office with an estimated $70.1 million domestically from 3,845 theaters. Cinderella becomes Branagh’s biggest opening of all time as a director and marks another key win for Disney as it spins its classic animated tales into live-action offerings.
