Fans of the Twilight films will have to wait quite a while for the final installment of the saga to hit screens with an 18 month lag time between films. Summit Entertainment has now confirmed that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is set to hit theaters on November 18, 2011.
Summit still won’t comment on if its adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s final book in the series will be one movie or two, but we do know as of last week that Oscar-winner Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) will be directing. Condon will be working from a script by Melissa Rosenberg, who adapted the first two novels of the series for the screen.
The third movie in the series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, premieres at the Los Angeles Film Festival June 24 at the Nokia Theatre and will be released nationwide on June 30.
