Moviegoers stuffed themselves on a diverse buffet of movies at the Thanksgiving box office, with overall revenues ringing in it at a record $290 million for the Wednesday through Sunday stretch, easily surpassing the $270.5 collected in 2009. “The Twilight Saga: Break Dawn Part II”, “Skyfall”, and “Lincoln” all drew large audiences to take the top three spots at the box office.
Despite the record-breaking weekend, “Rise of the Guardians” and “The Man With The Iron Fist” both underperformed, missing estimates.
