Bond 23 Gets a Release Date

After a long delay, the 23rd film in the James Bond franchise now has a worldwide release date of November 9, 2012, and will go before cameras in late 2011, according to Deadline.
The delay on the film was due to MGM’s financial woes, starting with the unsuccessful auction sale of the studio and a pre-packaged bankruptcy approval moving forward, with Spyglass eventually taking over filmmaking for the studio.

Daniel Craig will be reprising the role of agent 007 in this next installment of the Bond franchise.  Sam Mendes will direct with a script by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan, which is being kept tightly under wraps.

At this moment, there is no word on who will distribute “Bond 23”, but it looks as though Sony and Paramount are the leading contenders.  Stay tuned for more Bond news as it filters in.
