Alan Tudyk Joins Ever Growing Cast of Transformers 3

Tudyk_Transformers_3Paramount Pictures has confirmed that Alan Tudyk (Firefly) has joined the cast of Michael Bay’s Transformers 3, according to The Wrap.

Tudyk is best known to TV audiences as Wash from Firefly/Serenity and has been seen this past year in Dollhouse and V. He’s also been on the big screen in such films as 3:10 to Yuma and the hilarious original version of Death at a Funeral.

Tudyk joins other cast members are new to the Transformers franchise, including John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and the recently added Patrick Dempsey. While we know that Dempsey will be playing Mikaela Banes’ (Megan Fox) boss in the film, Tudyk’s role is being kept under wraps as is most of the film’s plot.

Transformers 3 begins shooting later this month and will be shooting on location in the USA, Moscow, Africa and China and is set for release July 1, 2011.
