‘Safe House’ Squeaks Out Box Office Win

Safe HouseIn it’s second week of release, the Denzel Washington action picture “Safe House” narrowly defeated returning films “The Vow” and “Journey 2” as well as newcomer “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” to take the top spot at the weekend box office. With $23.96 million for the weekend, “Safe House topped “The Vow by a mere $360,000. “Ghost Rider” rode into third place with $22 million while “Journey 2” rounded out the action heavy weekend with just over $20 million.
