“Last Exorcism” Scares Up Box Office Victory

The Last Exorcism“The Last Exorcism” edged out crime drama “Takers” to win the box office, taking in $21.3 million and $21 million respectively. Both films crushed the rerelease of “Avatar,” which added nine minutes of footage that failed to interest moviegoers. “Avatar” took in a mere $4 million, despite being in 3D and Imax theaters, both of which yield higher ticket prices than standard theaters.
