It’s official! Warner Brothers has announced that July 20, 1012 is the release date for the third Christopher Nolan directed Batman film, according to breaking news at The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog.
Though there is title yet for the third film, nor a filming start date, it is known that Jonathan Nolan and David Goyer are now at work on the screenplay. Chris Nolan is still hard at work readying his latest film, Inception, into theaters this summer on July 16.
With this news, it looks like 2012 will be chock full of super heroes. Also coming to the screen for the summer 2012 are Marvel’s The Avengers (May 4) and the reboot of Spider-Man (July 3). Stay tuned for more news on Batman 3 as it comes in.
